Thursday poetry corner: ‘Orange Glove’

The sweet fragrance,

Adorning the hand,

Fingers protruding,

Pointing to the land.

A land enchanted,

A land unknown,

Beneath the velvet,

Soft, so smooth.

A cool veneer,

Yet hiding the spot,

Where warmth unnoticed

Guides skin to appear.

Broken, unaided,

Unyielding and free.
