So whilst the internet is working here, I might as well update a wee bit more whilst I can. Everything is fine back home, (from my previous post – answers to prayer, thank you Lord) and overall I had a pretty amazing, very enlightening time in Warsaw.
I got to pray and meet with some Christians last night I had connected with before coming here, and it was great to again feel the power and love of being part of God’s International family. Something forgotten all too often in Northern Ireland.
Warsaw is a city full of dichotomies. From the old of the Communist era, to the new of the hi-tech internet era we are living in being fully utilized it feels like here (much MUCH better than in Northern Ireland, for example, though that perhaps wouldn’t be hard).
The timing of my visit has struck me this morning, leaving early. One day later and it would have been miserable to try to visit, as it’s now a slushy snowy mess on the streets of Warsaw this morning, with the heavier than expected snowfall here last night.
(The Palace of Culture and Science, shrouded in fog yesterday, outside the Central Metro station, in city centre Warsaw).
